In today's economy, we are always on the go. It seems ironic that the more convenient life became, the more fast paced it became. It almost feels like a chicken and egg scenario: "What came first the fact that the pace of life got faster or getting previously difficult tasks got easy?"
Whichever came first, we never eliminated the need to eat. So here are some top places to eat when you are on the go.
McDonald's or Any Burger Joint, really
Mickey D’s is one of the most popular, but really burger joints are interchangeable. Unless you are a child who loves his Happy Meal, there isn't much to distinguish McDonald's from Burger King or both from Wendy's they all offer mostly the same fare with slight variations in delivery and price point.
That being the case they are all efficient, fast food systems. Unless there is a huge rush, all of them can serve you with a "fresh burger" in under a minute. So, if you are really pressed for time and hungry, a burger joint will meet your needs.
The Local Diner
The local diner is a little slower than a fast food joint, but they are still pretty fast. Sure, this isn't exactly gourmet cooking, but it has the added appeal of feeling like you are eating a home cooked meal.
Simply put, diners are fast, efficient, and usually low cost. So, they are an excellent alternative to fast food joints if you want something a little less mass produced.
Food trucks have turn out to be more popular in recent years. They combine the freshness of newly prepared meals with the convenience of delivery. If you live in any moderately populated city, you are likely to run into one.
Of course, anyone who has seen a food truck will be amazed at the speed and efficiency of the crew inside. The prices are also reasonable given the value of the products on offer. Hence, they are a great alternative to the other two options above.
Eat at Work
If all else fails, eat at work. After all, I'm sure there is an app out there that will allow you to get delivery from your favorite food place. So, getting the food you want is just a few taps on your smartphone away.
Don't forget that trying out this type of food might open you to increased risk of tummy trouble so make sure you are insured, so you don't find yourself miserable if things go badly.
